Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward Kylian Mbappe has resumed contract renewal talks with the club, according to reports in France.
The Frenchman is currently on loan from Real Madrid until June 2021 and has been linked with a move back to his homeland after failing to agree terms for a new deal at the Bernabeu.
However, PSG have reportedly told their star player that they will offer him a world-record salary if he stays at the club, with the club willing to pay up to €45 million per year.
The offer would be a significant increase on Mbappe's current annual wage of €28 million, which is one of the highest in world football.
If Mbappe does decide to stay at PSG, it could mean a reunion between him and former coach Thomas Tuchel, who was sacked by Chelsea earlier this month.
Tuchel is expected to replace Mauricio Pochettino as head coach of PSG, with the Argentine having left the club following last season's disappointing campaign.
It remains to be seen whether Mbappe will take up the club's offer or if he will look elsewhere for a new challenge.
Regardless, Mbappe's continued presence at PSG is likely to continue to attract interest from top clubs across Europe, with many speculating that he may yet make a move away from the French capital.
